CONTEXT
Data collection tasks on digital platforms are often perceived as monotonous and mundane by users, leading to disengagement and lower participation rates. Traditional methods of presenting these tasks lack the engaging elements necessary to keep users interested. There was a need for an innovative approach to make data collection more enjoyable and engaging, thereby improving user interaction and completion rates.
To tackle this challenge, I decided to infuse humor and creativity into the data collection process through the use of memes. This approach was likely a first in content design, aiming to retain the essential information while adding a layer of delight for users.
I also collaborated with the localization team to identify and select memes that would resonate with various cultural contexts and user demographics, ensuring the content was both appropriate and effective.
Wrote UX copy that seamlessly integrated the selected memes, maintaining the balance between humor and clarity to ensure users could still easily complete the tasks.
